Reflex the innovative reflective surface of the Wierer tiles

The Reflex surface represents the latest and most technologically advanced innovation of the Italian tiles company Wierer. It reflects light and heat, cools the house and reduces the “heat island” effect.

Thanks to the use of special pigments, the Reflex surface is able to reflect a higher percentage of incident solar radiation compared to similar non-reflective surfaces, thus reducing the amount of heat in the underlying layers.

This proves to be the optimal solution for “Cool Roof” roofs, i.e. they are made of materials capable of reducing heat and the “heat island” effect observed in urban centers where temperatures are significantly higher (up to 5 °C) than in surrounding non-urban areas.

This phenomenon is caused by the accumulation of heat generated by the presence of buildings and paved roads, by emissions from motor vehicles and domestic heating systems, by the presence of limited green spaces and by the absence of adequate air circulation and results in greater use of air conditioning systems during the summer months with an obvious economic and environmental impact.
